JSCARC’s sister club is the Clear Lake Amateur Radio Club (CLARC).  CLARC specializes in local area public services and retains highly experienced amateur radio operators who actively participate in disaster and emergency drills and support activities, like fun runs, races, and other public service events.

Traditionally, the JSCARC and CLARC combine support for each other during Field Day operations and several local public events, since several hams are dual members of both clubs.

The monthly licensing exams held at the Gilruth every 2nd Saturday, are primarily led by the CLARC team with support from the JSCARC.  All are certified Volunteer Examiners (VEs).
